就把責任怪在低燕窩價格上

目前可食燕窩EBN的低價格導致了許多壓力和擔憂。 我期望這樣的情況不會持續長期，據推測今年年中或更早可食燕窩EBN的價格將回弹。 雖然，一些新聞報道已經放松了制約，但是莫名其妙地我還是認爲它是猜測。 即使放松了制約，可食燕窩EBN的價格將需要一段的時間才可以回到原來的價格。

有一些人完全放棄了他們所做的一切。 他們停止了參觀他們的燕屋農場，他們停止了收穫燕窩，並且他們也停止了维修，指定的原因是可食燕窩EBN低的價格。

是的，把所有的責任都推到可食燕窩EBN低的價格上。 要是可食燕窩的價格突然涨价呢？ 再也沒有從中國的制約(馬來西亞的制約也沒有了….)。

到時候他們才恢復他們的工作嗎？ 到那時就太晚了。 在這個时间沒有適當地維修的燕屋農場將被其他的燕屋農場吸引他們的燕子。 很好，您總是可以安慰自己說「不要緊，讓他們搶走我的燕子，畢竟燕窩的價格還是低的」。

許多人有问我現在在燕屋農場裏投資是否還是賺錢的，我的回復是。 除非您知道怎样做和有在設定燕屋農場合理的技能。 如我說「贏家勝取所有，失敗者卻最终一無所有」。

油棕園需要廣大的土地，巨额的肥料，龐大的勞工來收穫和維護、地區維護等等，一公斤是多少錢？ 橡胶園也是一樣。 當然您可以争辩说，油棕園是在噸位計數而不是公斤，但是您需要什麽樣的資本來投資才可以能計數在噸位的大量买卖？ (除非您的老爸有很大的土地未使用和無所事事的土地，那麽您就可以利用它。 那將幫助到很多，因爲可以減少了土地的費用。)

如果您個人的財富不是那麽巨大的您就把它忘掉把。 因爲在燕屋農場裏您可以以小開始(在商店的第1楼)，並且回歸是蠻大的。

Blame It on the Low Price Of Edible Birds Nests

The current low price of EBN has caused lots of stress and worries. I anticipated the situation won’t last for long, presumably by the 3th quarter of this year or much early the EBN prices would bounce back. Though there are news that the restrictions had been lifted but somehow I take it as speculation. Even if the restrictions had been lifted it would take a while for the EBN prices to move back to what it was.

There were some who totally abandoned what they had used to do. They stop visiting their Bhs, they stop harvesting the nests, and they stop the maintenance works, the reason given was low EBN price.

Yes all blame it on the Low EBN price. What if the EBN prices increase suddenly? When there are no more restrictions from China (Malaysia as well….).

Then only they would resume their works? By then it would be too late. During this time Bhs that are not taken care properly would have their birds attracted by other Bhs. Well you could pacify yourself by saying “Never mind let them take my Birds anyway the EBN price is Low”.

Swiftlet farming is all about persistency in continuing doing the best for the Bh in order to produce good results. It is just like planting fruit trees. You have to nurture them from the beginning in order to have a fruitful harvest. You put insecticide to prevent insects from eating the young leaves, you put all sorts of fertilizer, and you water it every day. This period may takes months perhaps years depend on what type of fruit trees you are planting. After long wait then only you would see result.

What if you stop taking care of the fruits trees halfway?  Later the trees are infested with diseases and malnutrition and no longer could bear quality fruits because you didn’t take care of it. Then suddenly the fruits price in the market soared and you start to put fertilizers, water it and so on. Now you have to wait as the weak trees take time to recover. Whereas your neighbor who had been taking of all their trees all the time without abandoning their works, now could have a good harvest and earn double profit. Now you missed the boat!

You are not persistent but later expecting the tree to bear good fruits? Think about it, do you think it will works?

Don’t blame it on the price of EBN. Even the prices of EBN had declined lately which had reduced to half due to the crisis with China but its selling price is still higher than many farming produces. What other farming businesses could give you 1 kg for a thousand plus (current price of EBN) without the high cost of maintenance? I guess none!

Many had asked me whether is it still lucrative to invest in Swiftlet farming, my reply was yes. Provided you know what to do and have reasonable skills in setting up a Bh. Like I had said “winner takes all and loser ended up with none”.

Oil Palm needs extensive of land, huge amount of fertilizers, labor intensive harvesting and maintenance, landscape maintenance, etc. How much per Kg?  That goes as well for rubber trees. Obviously you could argue that Oil Palm is a volume business which counts on tonnage instead of kg but what is the capital of investment in order for you to count on tonnage? (Unless your father has plenty of unused idle land then you could make use of it. That would help a lot when minus the land cost.)

If your personnel wealth is not huge then you can forget about it. Whereas for Swiftlet farming you could start small (on the shop lot 1^st floor) and the returns is big.

Unless the EBN price per kg drop below Rm 500.00 then all could forget about Swiftlet farming, that included me. It will never happen because only few countries produce the EBN furthermore artificial farming like in captivity all failed badly. So it’s still no mass production like other farming. Secondly with the huge population of China and its roaring economy it would take at least 20 years from now for the demand of EBN to slow down. Bear in mind the current Low price of EBN has got nothing to do with the market demand. It is all because of political affair, sanctions and restrictions.

So if you had always done your part taking care of your Swiftlet farm immaterial how the EBN prices go up and down when all these restrictions are lifted you will be the first to capitalize on the profit. Once the price of EBN goes up those who had abandoned what they had used to do would start to harvest, cleaning up the birds dropping, change malfunction tweeters, spraying hormone, changing sound, etc by then they would be left behind by those who had taken care of Bhs consistently .While for those who had neglected their Bh they need time to catch up. As we know attracting Birds to stay and to build nests is not an overnight thing.

So consistently taking care of your Bhs will always benefit you.

這麽多年幫助了許多的人成爲成功的燕屋主，我發現要在所有之中傑出的燕屋農場必須有這幾個关键的事物。 经过我多年的研究和觀察，成功的燕屋農場最重要的成份是它有能力防止小燕子移居和同時吸引其他燕屋農場的小燕子停留和修造燕窩。

無論哪個燕屋農場有好几千個燕窩和燕子，如果哪個燕屋農場无法挽留它的小燕子停留，那麽這個燕屋農場也就是開始的完蛋了。 或許它需要几個月和幾年的時間才可以看見它的變動。 慢慢的燕窩的數量和燕子群的數字開始下降到一個程度，但是一旦可能容易地被看見，在許多情況下它已經太晚了，並且您需要很長的时间才可以反转过來。

這是關於所有的燕屋農場，不管它是大的或小的，成功地或者中等的，新的或者舊的，全部都是一樣。

莫名其妙地所有的燕屋農場將移居或被吸引到其他燕屋農場。 這就看看它的问题有多嚴重。 如果這不是發生了，您那3個月新燕屋農場裏的燕窩和燕子有是從哪來的呢？ 它就是來自別人的燕屋農場! 舊和新的燕屋農場都有能力吸引燕子，但是同時它們也失去一些小燕子。 它的嚴重性就是在獲得比失去的比例比较。 如果燕屋農場的失去比例显示更高，那麽一定要做一些事來拯救這個問題。

不管哪是1年的燕屋農場與20個燕窩的或5年的燕屋農場與1000個燕窩的，在最初的階段這些所有的燕子都是來自其他人的燕屋農場。 它逐漸加強它的燕子人口，它也維持的它的燕窩和燕子的數量，同時吸引從其他人的燕屋農場的燕子。那么現在您可以明顯地看到當某些人是失去的時候，您可能在獲取，這也可能相反方式。

因此，它的关键系数單獨地被依靠燕屋農場的能力來維護它的燕窩和同時吸引其他燕屋農場的燕子人口。

爲了防止壓力和恐懼，建议您您每次進入您的燕屋農場之後噴洒芳香(Love Potion)。 不要輕視這一點，您犯的一個很小的错误將會影響您燕屋農場的未來。

After many years of helping peoples to become successful Swiftlet farmers I discovered that there are few key factors a Bh needs to have in order to standout among all. Thru my many years of research and observation the most important ingredients of a successful Bh is its ability to prevent young birds from migrating and at the same time attracting other Bhs’ young birds to stay and build nests.

No matter how many thousand nests and birds a Bh has if the said Bh is unable to make its young birds to stay then that is the beginning of the end of the Bhs. Perhaps it takes months and years to see the changes. Gradually the number of nests and birds population would decline to an extent where it could be seen easily by then in many cases it would be too late and it would take long time to turn it around.  

This applied to all Bhs, immaterial big or small, successful or moderate, new or old all are alike.

Somehow the birds of all Bhs would migrate or attract by other Bhs. It is a matter of how severity of the changes. If this doesn’t happen then where do all those new nests and birds in your 3 months old Bh came from? It came from someone else’s Bh! Both Old and New Bhs have the ability to attract young birds at the same time they are losing some. The severity lies on the ratio of gaining compared to losing. If a Bh’s ratio shows losing birds is higher, then something must be done to address this problem.

There are thousands of Bhs coming up every year and all are getting bigger and bigger, 3,4,5,6...storey and all would have nests in them within the 1^{st and 2nd} year of operation whether it is 2 ,20 or 30 nests, it is a matter of numbers. All these nests came from someone else’s Bh. It could be from your Bhs. So don’t think that only successful Bhs is a threat to your Bh but failed Bhs as well. The 10 nests from  a 3 years old Bh across the road may came from your Bh.

Whether a Bh of 1 years with 20 nests or a Bh of 5 years with 1000 nests at the initial stage all these birds came from other people’s Bh. Gradually it builds up its population by maintain its nests and birds population at the same time attracting more young birds from other people’s Bh. So now you could see clearly someone is losing out while you are gaining or maybe the opposite way.

So the key factor is solely relied on the Bh ability to maintain its nests & population at the same time attracting other Bh’s birds.

If you have these two strengths in your Bh then you would see tremendous increase of nest & population in a short period time. Those very successful so called pioneer Bhs have all these strengths. They may lose few birds every month but attracting thousands from other Bhs coupled with their own young birds, that is why tens of kg of nests per month is common. While for those who don’t have these strengths struggling to achieve 10 nests per year is hard.

So how do you do that? Hypnotization, calling birds to your Bh with unique sound and hypnotize them while there are inside. 2 main components Sound & Aroma (bear in mind all the micros in a Bh has to be at an acceptable levels). Also make sure you use the right sound and right Aroma. Know the things you are doing, not all sounds and aromas are the same.

A good sound would pull in birds especially young birds. It is easier to attract Young birds. They are easily attracted by Sound and Aroma provided the sound played is correctly tuned to their frequency and the Aroma used is effective. The sound tempos and pitches of young birds are different from those of adult birds. If a sound played consist of mature birds then it won’t get young birds attentions. So the one who mixes & records the birds sound must understand the pitches in order to create a good and effective bird sound.

 It is true “Old Dog Hard to Learn New Tricks” . It applied here too..it is harder to hypnotize old birds from other Bhs compared to young birds.

A simple arithmetic if a Bh has 1000 nests and averagely 80% of the nests have 2 eggs that is 1600 eggs. If 80% survived and become young birds that would be 1280 young birds per season.

So isn’t it worth to attract young birds that would give your Bh a better population for the future?

Secondly babies’ birds develop their senses of smell before their visions. They could smell before they could see. So aroma plays an important role in hypnotization process. Both Sound & Aroma coupled with the good Bh’s environment would speed up the hypnotization process.

Always spray aroma after every harvest and every visit to Bh to reduce stress on birds. When you are inside the Bh repairing something or harvesting, most old and adult birds would have left due to your presence except those that are sitting on the eggs. What left are the young birds that have just learned to fly and those that still clinching onto the nests. These young birds are exposed to your presence, your body odor (sweat), the noise, etc. They would remember it. These create fear and stress in their early life. If given a chance they would fly out from the Bh too but most are young birds that in their first week of learning to fly. Perhaps later if they have got a chance they would never return.

To prevent stress and fear it is recommended that you spray Aroma ( Love Potion) every time you visit your Bh. Don’t take it lightly , a small mistake you make would affect the future of your Bh.

我發現許多燕屋主並不知道電容器目的用法在高音揚聲器。 他們只是跟隨其他人所做就好像「猴子看見猴子學」。 就算那些賣這個電容器的人，也知道很少關於它的功能和效果，也不可能完全責備他們，因為大多數的人都不是對這些音响效果很熟悉。

如果您問您是否應該在您的燕屋農場裏的所有高音揚聲器增加上電容器？ 我的答案，是的，除非您知道您應該使用什麽樣的電容器和它的运作。 增加電容器在高音揚聲器上可以改进聲音的品质，延長高音揚聲器的生命等等通过維護它的電流和声波流程 (電介質) 。

如果您隨便安上了它們就是因為您看見許多人都有安裝它在高音揚聲器上，那我的忠告是，免了。沒有正確的電容器它將廢了它的目的，而且它將反效果的影响聲音的品质和對高音揚聲器不利。

在市場上有許多不同类型的電容器，並且所有都有不同的用法，記住不是全部都是為了聲音的目的。

電容器有2個搭，它就是正面和負面。 如果您問那些賣高音揚聲器的人，大多數的人將告诉您全部都是相同的，並且它可以搭上任何一個方式正面或負面。這只适用于雙極電容器，當兩搭都可以被附上高音揚聲器的+/-的任何一邊。 (非雙極電容器您必須跟隨極性+/-)

您又怎麼知道電容器的哪個搭是正面的呢？ 比較一下電容器的2個搭，更長的是正面的那個。

對于那些電容器有同一個長度的搭，表明在電容器的那邊的就是正面的。

其次，确定電容器價值(uf)適合交界频率。

那么如何可以配搭電容器在高音揚聲器上？電容器的負面搭在放大器的正面導線，然後電容器的正面搭在高音揚聲器的正面搭板。

為什麼要浪費額外的金錢購買另外的電容器附加在高音揚聲器上？而它又不符合目的呢？

All New External Sound B-52 " Heavy Bomber".

After observing how Swiftlets responded to the External sound at the Entrance Hole, how they play, how they maneuver in and out via verse. I’ve decided to come out with an external sound that encompasses the pooling, playing, entering and staying.

Most important it must have the ability to attract birds to come and play then inviting them to fly into the roving later guiding them to the nesting area to stay and build nests.

The objective of this External sound is to attract all birds, the young ones to return to make nests when they are old enough, the old ones to remain and continue to make nests for many seasons to come and the new birds that pass by will make it their permanent homes.

 This sound consists of varieties of tempos to persuade  and attract  young, mature and old birds. So no birds are left unattended.

With this aim I have created an all new External sound the “B-52”. It is with the  attacking sound strategy. That means it will pull in birds from your neighbors’ farm, birds that around searching for food, etc.

The B-52 is heavy as its name “heavy bomber” so no excuses. It is designed  to created havoc to others Bhs because it attracts all their birds. I started out by choosing the best attractive sounds from young and old birds in several Bhs in the country, carefully choosing them, then tuning the pitches to suit the bird’s preferable hearing frequency especially those playing at the roving and entrance. All tested in several Bhs and the results were unbelievable.

Capacitors at Tweeters

I’ve noticed that many Swiftlet farmers don’t know the purposes and usage of capacitor at the Tweeters. They just follow what others did “Monkeys see Monkeys do”. Even those who sell Tweeters with Capacitors know very little about the function and its effect, can’t blame them as most of them are not familiar in sound effect.

If you ask should you add capacitors in all the Tweeters in your Bh? My answer is YES, provided  you know how it works and what type of capacitors to be used. Adding capacitors on tweeters improves sound quality, extend the life of the Tweeters, etc by maintaining the flow of electric and sound wave. (Dielectric)

If you simply attached them on the tweeters just because you see many are doing it then my advice is NO .Without having the correct capacitors it would defeat the purposes, furthermore it would have adverse effect on the sound quality and tweeters.

There are many type of capacitors in the market and all of them have different usages, bear in mind not all are for sound purposes. The below would tell you what is sound & it measures.

To make the most of this article it would help if to give you a basic understanding of sound waves.

A vibrating speaker sends a wave of pressure fluctuations through the atmosphere. When the fluctuating waves reach your ears, they vibrate your eardrums backwards and forwards and your brains interpret this motion as sound. We hear different sounds from different speakers because of variations in sound wave 'frequency' - A higher sound wave frequency simply means that the air pressure is fluctuating faster.

We hear this as a higher pitch (or higher note). When there are fewer fluctuations over a given length of time the pitch is lower. These fluctuations are referred to as 'cycles' and measured as 'cycles per second' or Hertz.

Most speakers are only capable of working well over a certain part of the audible frequency which is 20hz to 20khz. Therefore selecting speakers within this range would give you added advantages. (Most swiftlet sounds are between these frequencies.)

Midrange speakers unsurprisingly produce a range of frequencies in the middle of the audible spectrum. It produces best quality of sounds between 100hz and 2khz.

Tweeters tend to be the smallest and lightest speakers and due to the limitations of their mass and size are totally incapable of producing sound frequencies much below 1khz.

I am not going to go into the technical aspect of it which would take pages to finish. (Dielectric loss and absorption, Electrolytic, Electrolytic resonance, etc.)

The common mistake made by most is without observing the polar of the capacitor. It is not advisable to attach the Non-bipolar capacitor to the tweeter +/- plates without observing its polarity it would defeat the purposes of the capacitor. Somehow I discovered many are doing it.

Capacitors have 2 legs the positive and negative. If you ask those who sell tweeters and most of them will tell you all are the same and it could be attached either ways positive & negative. This only applies to bipolar capacitors as both legs can be attached to either side of the tweeter +/- plates. (Non-bipolar capacitor you have to follow the polar +/-)

How do you know which legs of the capacitor is positive? Compare the 2 legs of the capacitor the one that is longer is positive.

For those capacitors that have the same length of legs the side on the capacitors which indicates its specification is the positive side.

Secondly make sure the capacitor value (uf) matches the crossover frequency.

(You will not always be able to get capacitors to these exact values, look for the nearest value. This is not rocket science and just by fitting a capacitor of approx the right value you will see an enormous difference)

So how to attach the capacitor to the tweeter? The negative leg of the capacitor attaches to the positive of the wire from the amplifier and the capacitor positive leg attached to the tweeter positive plate.

Why want to waste money buying additional capacitors to attached to tweeters if it doesn’t serve the purpose?

把责任推到EBN里的硝酸鹽含量在是指定的原因，或許很多人被影響和瞭解硝酸鹽就是這个浩劫唯一的理由。



您是否知道我們邻国，就说说几个，印尼、越南、泰國等等都來這里購買我們的EBN (未加工的和已被處理的)和標記为他們各自國家的名字和出口到中國，不用任何制約。



原因是什麼...？

馬來西亞的EBN是以它的質量为名的，並且在亚太這個區域給我們的競爭者许多困难时期。 现在因为這个硝酸鹽問題我們的邻国從它得到非常多的益处。 现在許多人利用這個問題增加產業和把馬來西亞的EBN的名字推向更低来受益于它。 这永远是回到憎多粥少或者是粥多憎少的原理。 EBN的零售价在中國未见得走下坡...但是为什么馬來西亞的EBN和未加工的燕窝遭受到吹動...想一想吧!



明显地，它是介入了骯髒的企业戰術，政治，… 等等，就算燕屋农场也逃不过这个劫数。



不要擔心，任何一样东西下了一定会向上。 不是全世界的國家都有生產EBN只是極少的數量。

No It is Not Nitrate! It is Business

The prices of Nests have dropped drastically ever since China the biggest buyer had stopped to purchase and banned EBN (Edible Birds Nest) from Malaysia. This has affected many Swiftlet farmers and those who are involved in this industry whether directly or indirectly.

Now the biggest setback is that even hands carry by individual who travel by plane is prohibited. That means all Malaysian EBNs are totally banned.

Blamed on the Nitrate content in the EBN that was the reason given or many had being influenced to make understand that Nitrate was the sole reason behind all these havocs.

Did you know our neighboring countries to name few, , Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, etc are coming here to purchase our EBN (Raw & Processed) and labeled with the names of their respective countries and export to China without any restriction at all.

So what the catch ..?

Nitrate was the scapegoat..yes you could blame on it because it free for all. Those who had connection in this trade know what I mean. We know it so do all those circle of VIPs. It is a very sensitive issue. I might get in to trouble. The Big shots in the Association and the Ministry know it too it is beyond just Nitrate as all nests (processed & raw) from any country in this region that produce EBN contain Nitrate.  You would be surprised some of their Nests even have higher Nitrate content than the Malaysia EBN and yet they are no restriction to import to China.

Many Readers had called me and wanted to depose off their Nests fearing that the price would even drop further. If I were them I would keep it, unless you are desperately in need of money. This is the time to make money. How often does this type of opportunity comes????. Buy at low price sell at high price later..Isn’t this is like stock market?

Malaysian EBN is renowned for its quality and this gives our competitors in this region a hard time. Now with the Nitrate problem here our dearly neighboring countries had benefited so much from it. Now many had capitalized on this issue to push down this industry and the name of Malaysian EBN to benefit from it. It will always go back to more man less share and less man more share. The retail price of EBN in China has not gone down much..why Malaysia EBN & Raw nests here suffer the blow..think about it!

Obviously it’s involved dirty business tactics, politic,…etc which Swiftlet farming  couldn’t escape from it.

Don’t worry whatever goes down must come up. Not all countries in the world produce EBN  only a handful.

G先生：      是的，在連續的使用Love Potion以後，在最早的4個月它有了40個燕窩。 但是到現它沒有增加了。 為什麼James？
