這只小燕子是被外声占据心思。 它垂悬在高音扬声器的木板旁边。我拍了这張照片因为这只小燕子花了半個多小时的時間來垂悬在那里。 它设法紧緊抓住那高音扬声器，但是由于它无经验的爪子而无法抓住那溜滑的高音扬声器。尝试再尝试最后才可以垂悬在木板上。

通过观察和了解它的行为，您可以知道这只是否是一只幼燕子或是一只老燕子。 通常许多人問我 "James您如何可以区分一只幼燕子和老燕子之间， 就只是通过观察它们飞行？" 我的回复是，那並不是一件很难做到的事。 如果您是致力和足够敏锐的，大家也可以做得到。

Know the Birds That Come To Your Swiftlet Farm

A young bird is so obsessed with the External Sound. It hangs on the side of the wood panel next to the tweeters. I took these pictures because this little bird had hanged there for more than half and hour. It had tried to clinch onto the tweeters but due to its inexperience claws he is unable to do so as the tweeter's mouth is slippery. Tried and tried  finally hanged onto the wood panel.

By observing and understanding its behaviours you would know whether this is a young bird or an old bird. Often many  people  ask me " James how come  you can differentiate between a young bird and a old birds by just observing them flying?" I replied, that is not a hard thing to do. All of you could do the same if you are dedicate and observant enough.

But how many of you would do the same  like me ? " a silly guy who are so into Swiftlet farming!
Finding ways, techniques and trying to understand the hidden behaviours of Swiftlet."

These are the invaluable knowledge that would help us in building a successful Swiftlet House.

The pictures about tells tales, If that is an Old bird it would have already hanged onto  the tweeters as its claws are strong and big. Whereas for young Birds that just left Bh they are still in the learning process. Their claws are weak and not big enough to grad onto the tweeters. Therefore they clinched onto the wood panel.

From this observation we know this is a young birds.Obviously there are more ways and aspects to be used to identify and differentiate them and this just one of the many ways.

This is what all new and old Bhs wanted," to capture young birds" because they are the future of your Bhs. Without them the your Bhs population and nests won't increase.

Finally being hypnotised for more than half and hour this young bird decided to fly in and I am very sure it would make this Bh his permanent home.

External Sound B-52 attracts thousands of Swiftlets B-52外聲吸引上万的燕子

This Video was recorded by a reader of mine who is using the B-52 external sound. He uses his mobile phone( a common type mobile phone ) therefore it is not that clear. But somehow you could see cloud of birds storming into his Bh which is an open roof type in the middle of the Bh.

這就是使用了B-52外聲的錄影，是有我的一位讀者錄下來的。 他是用了手提電話來錄的(一個普通的手提电话) 因此它不是太清楚的。 但是您還是仍然可以看到一群燕子好像暴風一般的猛衝进入開放屋頂型的燕屋農場。

He had called me earlier and told me about it. " James the B-52 is dam good thousand came during home coming. I am amazed by it." This is the first time he saw so many birds going into his Bh.

他早前已經有打過電話給我告訴我關於這個的。 "James，那個B-52是非常的好，在囘家時間有上万的燕子進入我的燕屋農場。 我是非常驚奇的." 這是他第一次看到那麽多的燕子进入他的燕屋農場。

I ask him if he would record them and email to me and he was more than happy to do that. And within a week this video reaches me.

極力的使用Love Potion和GS聲音來修補燕屋農場。

還記得4個月前我寫的文章“這就是您所称的知名的顧問"。 這個燕屋的主人打了個電話給我上個週末要我去看看他的燕屋農場，我已經在2011年12月的時候修補的。

"James您是否可以來我的燕屋農場，同時請带您的一些新的外聲的系列"。 這就是M先生在一種扣人心弦的心情說的。

"James，來看看，那些兩年多都沒有燕子屎的地方現在有許多堆的燕子屎。 它是不是一個好的預兆？"。

那M先生聽起來好像很幼稚….

只是回顧一下未曾讀過這片文章的人。 這個燕屋農場是由一位當地知名的顧問建立的。在2年的時間，它只有少過4個燕窩和少許已經乾了的燕子屎。

(以上的照片是在修補之前。 這個燕屋農場的入口洞是太小的(其他的燕屋農場也許是不同的)

在修補了之後，我勸告他每3個星期用一次Love Potion。 噴洒在筑窩区和環繞區的牆壁上來吸引幼燕子來和停留。 如果他想要看好的結果，他必須連續地這樣做。 我告訴他您現在從我已經學會了許多和您之前也體驗多壓力和失望。 千萬別重複之前的同一個差錯。 他很正確地跟隨了我所告訴他的一切，並且現在4個月之後這就是它的結果。 在那兩年的時間，他從未見過那麽多的新燕窩標號和燕子屎在他的燕屋農場。 只有在修補之後，他才看到到處都是燕子屎和有許多新燕窩的標號。

高音揚聲器的增加來反射立體聲音的環境。 在修補之後的幾個星期，他經常打電話來和通知我關於燕屋農場的進展。 "James，有許多的燕子飛进我的燕屋農場鳥。 這是，我第一次看到那麽多的燕子飛進。 它們是很喜歡Gs 9的聲音和催眠內部聲音的。 Love Potion是意想不到的我會連續的使用它."

在他认识我之前， M先生使用了從市場的許多芳香。 他在修補了之後才開始密集地使用Love Potion。 他告訴我他再也不會使用其他芳香除了Love Potion之外，因為眼见為实。 現在看看他的燕屋農場。

我相信一個人如果跟隨了需要做的一切在設計，設備的使用，某一個程度的測量和要求，使用了正确的芳香(Love Potion)和聲音。 不管是什麽燕屋農場都不會出錯的。 但是，很可悲的說，在過去的5年，參觀了那么多的燕屋農場，可悲的是有80%被修造的燕屋農場，是根本沒有跟隨或瞭解燕子想要什麽。

Revamped Swiftlet Farm With Intensive Use of Love Potion And Gs Sound.

Remember the article I wrote " This Is what You call a Well Known Consultant" 4 months ago. This Bh's owner called me last weekend and asked me to have a look at his Bh which I had revamped in December 2011.

"James could you come to my Bh, at the same time please bring along your some new External sound collection". This was what Mr.M said in an exciting mood.

" James, come and see it yourself those areas that have no birds shit for 2 years now have many birds shit spots. It is a  good sign?".

Well Mr.M sounds Innocent....

Just to refresh those who have not read about the previous article here are some of the information. This Bh was built by a local well known consultant. It has less than 4 nests after 2 years and only few spots of birds shits and most had dried-up.

After the revamp I advise him to use Love potion every 3 weeks once . Spraying them on the walls of the nesting area and roving to attract young birds to come and stay. This has to be done continuously if he wants to see good result. I told him you have learned a lots from me now and you have had experienced the stress and frustration before. Don't repeat the same mistake again. He followed  exactly what I had told him and now just after 4 months this was the result. Never in that last 2 years he saw so many New nest markings and Birds shits in his Bh. Only after the revamp the birds shits were everywhere and there were many new nests markings.

The tweeters were added to reflect a surround sound environment. Few weeks after the revamp he calls often and inform me about the progress of the Bh. " James there are many birds flying into my Bh. This is the first time I see so many birds flying in. They like the Gs 9 sound and the Hypnotic internal sound. The Love Potion is fantastic I will continuous to use it." 

Mr. M had used many Aromas from the market before he knows me. He only started to use Love Potion intensively after the revamp. He told me he will never ever use other Aromas except Love Potion because seeing is believing. Look at his Bh now.

 The wall was knocked down to create a bigger entrance so that the birds could maneuver easily. Most who build Bh never take this into consideration.

The birds shits were everywhere all over the places not just a section. It shows the whole micro, sound, aroma were at perfection. Commonly most shits would be located at certain sections or areas of a Bh but for Mr. M 's Bh it was different every sections were equally good having many new nest markings and shits. This happened after the revamp, for 2 years Mr.M had never experienced or seen such thing this is the first time. He felt very indebted to me ...you know why because taught him so many things and the second time I visited his Bh the consultation is FREE!

The Birds had made this Bh their homes. Now it is all up to how well Mr.M could manage his Bh to push up the number of nests and the population. I told him to be smart and know what Aroma and sound could be use. Don't simply use Aroma and Sound that are not familiar with as there are so many Aromas and sounds in the Market and most of them have not done researches prior to production and  it would harm and damage the Bh' internal environment.

These are not normal Birds shits. There are new, thick and have many feathers. Thru my experiences nests will form above all these shits spots. Look at the pictures of the new nests marking. It clearly indicates the birds had stayed and make nests.

Mr. M is one happy person now. He asks me why people with so little knowledge about swiftlet farming could be consultant?  I replied, well you have to ask them yourself not me No comment. He admits he was one of those innocent victims.

I believe if one followed what needed to be done in Designing, equipments use, measurements and requirement of certain standard also using the right Aroma (Love Potion) and Sound. No matter what the Bh won't goes wrong. But after having visited so many Bhs for the last 5 years sad to say so 80% of Bh is built without following or understanding what birds wants.

Matang, 霹靂

上星期我回到我的家鄉在太平。 當我在那裡的時候我去了Matang當地著名觀鸟的地方。一個可以觀看的鳥類在冬天期間移居特別是從亞洲北部的鸟類，現在是它們離開的时候。 Matang也是稱爲Port Weld第1個在馬來亞的火车站。它位于大约從太平15 km的地方。 由于它泥濘的海邊和巨大的美洲紅樹包圍，這個地方吸引了許多鳥類也包括了A.Fuchiphangus (Swiftlets)。 它也是本國其中一個最大的美洲紅樹森林儲備。

Matang也是為做木炭著名的。 那裡現在仍然還有做着，但是許多已經关闭了，因為木炭的需求下降了。

如果您在這裡做燕屋農場是不會有錯誤的。 燕子食物的來源是很豐足的，但是要記住那裡是由當地的大哥們控制的。 如果您不是從那裏的，那么就會...... xx，因為這個地方有幾件臭名遠揚的事....... "TK"

每一次來到這裡的時候我可以看到許多新的大燕屋農場，那裡越來越多燕屋農場。 競爭变得更加激烈。 只有最堅硬的才可以生存。

Matang, Perak

Last week I was in Taiping my hometown. While I was there I drop by Matang a place famous for birds watching. A place for watching migratory birds from  North Asia they migrate during winter and now it is about time for them to leave. Matang also know as Port weld the 1st rail station in Malaya. It is located about 15 km from Taiping. Due to its muddy shores and huge mangrove trees coverage this place attracted lots of birds that includes A.Fuchiphangus. ( Swiftlets). It is one of the largest mangrove forest reserves in the country.

Matang is also famous for Charcoal making. There are still doing it now but many had closed down as the demand of Charcoal has declined

If you do swiftlet farming here you won't be wrong. Food sources are plenty for the birds but bear in mind there are controlled by the local Big brothers. If you are not from here then it is......xx As this place is famous for few notorious big times......."TK"

 Every time  I visit here I could see many new big Bhs, there are getting more and more Swiftlet farms here. Competition is getting tougher. Only the fittest would survive.

 Bhs are next to each other. Well given the natural geographical landscape and its natural resources, no worries about too many Bhs. They only worry is how bad you build and design the Bh.

Many of the Bhs here are using Love potion, their harvests per month would make your eyes popped out when you see it.

「嗨，James師傅，谢谢。 幾天前我受到了您寄給我的B-52外聲。 意想不到! 儅我看到的時候，真的是沒話可說。 以千上萬的燕子进入我的燕屋農場，真是瘋狂的」。

這就是從Kuala Lipis，Pahang 的L先生的反應了。 他的燕屋農場開始到現在已經有差不多4年的時間了。 前2年的時間是被浪費掉的，當時他對燕屋農場知道得很少，並且同是也是被當地的一位對燕屋農場不很明白的顧問拉著鼻子走。

當他在幾年前遇見我的時候，他的第一個問題是「James為什麼沒有許多的燕子和燕窩在我的燕屋農場，您是否可以幫到忙？」

我問了他，您的燕屋農場的濕度是否對的，溫度又如何，屋内環境又是如何等等？ 他的回復是「老實說，James，我什麽都不知道，順便問一句，您所說的這些是什麼東東？」。

之後我教導了他，也勸告他應該在他的燕屋農場裏放一個濕度計查機，後來我也參觀了他的燕屋農場並且修改了一點東西。 縮小了第二個入口洞的大小，改了內聲和外聲等等..... 從這裡他學會了什麼是屋内環境，並且知道什麼是應該好燕屋農場的標準。 他也學會了許多從伴音系统到維護燕屋農場的技術。 在學會了所有這些技術之後，他發現過去的2年，所有的濕度、溫度、光的密度等等都沒有符合一個好燕屋農場的基本要求。 他是非常傷心的，因為他發現竟然讓一位對燕屋農場知道的很少的人建立他的燕屋農場。

當他學會了所有這些之後，他問了那時仍然在處理他的燕屋農場的顧問，關於所有這些技術，他的顧問是很迷失的。 顧問根本無法答复他的問題。 當時感到很失望很被欺騙，他炒掉了顧問並且决定自己照顾他的燕屋農場。 如果我還記得的話，當時是在2010年初的時候。 從那開始他聼了我的勸告經常使用Love Potion無誤的每3個星期一次。 他也使用了許多Gs系列的聲音，季節性地改換它們。 雖然他買從其他的人買了一些相當昂貴的聲音，但是他仍然喜歡Gs系列的聲音，因為他可以看到結果。

认识您的燕屋農場並且學習什麼對您的燕屋農場是重要的。 每個燕屋農場都是不同的。 如果您瞭解基本和屋内環境可以為您解決許多在燕屋農場的事情。

可悲的說…. 在這裡提供了差不多5年的忠告和信息以后，這裡任然有許多的人還是被盲公帶路。

Malaysia to sign draft protocol on bird's nest exports to China

MUAR: Malaysia will sign a draft protocol on the entry of bird's nests into China soon to resume export of the luxury item to the country, which has been halted for several months.

Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Minister Datuk Seri Noh Omar said the three main conditions for the resumption of bird's nest exports to China had been agreed upon in the latest negotiations between the two countries.

Among the conditions were that Malaysian bird's nest exporters must have the Radio Frequency Identification certificate issued by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission to detect the locations of problematic bird nest using radio wave frequency.

Two more conditions were the Veterinary Department's certificate of health and the Ministry of Health's health certificate, Noh said at the opening of the Bakri Parliamentary Constituency Farmers' Organisation annual general meeting at Maktab Rendah Sains Mara, Bakri here on Saturday.

At the event, he witnessed the signing of a bird's nest purchasing agreement between Syarikat Duta Sialin Biotechnology Sdn Bhd and eight farmers organisations. Bernama

“Hi Sifu James, Thank you very much. I have received your B-52 external sound few days ago. Fantastic! Words can’t express what I saw. Thousands of birds entered my Bh, it is crazy.”

This is what Mr. L from Kuala Lipis of Pahang responded. His had started his Bh for almost 4 years now. The first 2 years were wasted as he knew very little about Swiftlet farming and was leaded by the nose by a local consultant who also knew very little.

When he first meet me few years back his first question was “James how come there are not many birds and nests in my Bh could you help?”

I asked him, is the Rh reading of your Bh good, what is the temperature like, what is the micro condition and so on ? His reply was “sincerely James I don’t know, by the way what is all these things”.

Later I taught, I advice him to have hygrometers in him Bh to check the reading subsequently I visited his Bh and revamped few things. Reducing the size of the second entrance hole, changed the internal and external sound, etc….. From here he learns what Micro is and knows what are the criteria of a good Bh should be. He learns lots of technical stuff from sound system to Swiftlet farm maintenance. After having learned all theses he discovered that the last 2 years all the Rh, Temperature, light density, etc didn’t meet the basic requirements of a good Swiftlet farm. He was very sad because now he had discovered that someone who knows little about Swiftlet farming had built a Bh for him.

After he had learned all these he questioned his consultant who at that time still manages his farm about all these technical stuff. The consultant was totally lost and couldn’t answer him. With frustrations and felt cheated he sacked the consultant and decided to take care of the Bh himself. If my memory serve me well this was in early 2010. Ever since then he had followed my advice using Love potion on a regular basis without fail every 3 weeks once. He used many of the Gs series sound changing them seasonally. Although he had bought few quite expensive sounds from others but he still prefers the Gs series sound as he could see the result.

As today his Bh is reaching one thousand nests. He was extremely happy. Now he can be proud of himself.

He always says “James I did it in 2 years”.

While I always remind him that his Bh is already 4 years.

He insisted “No the earlier 2 years not counted because that F**ker Joker knows nothing and conned me, I sacked him and managed my Bh on your advise then only the number of nests shoot up”.

Know your Bh and learn what is important for your Bh. Every Bh is different. If you understand the basic and the micro you could solve lots of things in your Bh.

Don’t let the Blind lead the Blind. 8 out of 10 are leaded by the Blind.

Sad to say…. after providing advice and information here for almost 5 years now and there are still many people being leaded by the blind.

在收穫了燕窩之後的角落板條，通過使用螺絲把不銹鋼片安裝在板條上。我比較喜欢使用螺絲因為它可以很堅定的被安裝在木板上和很容易的工作。 要防止鐵生銹，可以使用不銹鋼的螺絲。 不是所有类型的不銹鋼螺絲都可以使用的。 選擇那些按鈕頭類型與圓邊的，以便燕窩不會黏在 螺絲和板材之間。

它看起來就是這樣，那個蓝色的线就是用來指示中間，以便可以讓我們安裝在板條的中間。

另外一個角落將被安裝上不朽鋼片。 不建议安裝不銹鋼片在板條的角落在少過500個燕窩的燕屋農場。

Installing Stainless Steel Plate in Swiftlet Farm

Here are the pictures of the Stainless Steel plate installed on the corners. I had showed in my previous post how to make the S.Steel plate, to known more you could check out  the previous post.

After removing the nest from the corner a S.Steel plate is installed by using screws. I prefer to use screw because its hold on to the wood stronger and easy to work with . To prevent rust Make sure to use S.steel screws. Not all type of S.Steel screws could be used. Opt for the button head type with round edges so that the nests wouldn't stick to the side between the screw and the plate.

This is how it looks like, the marked blue line on the plate indicates the middle of the plate for us to align the plate to the middle when installing.

Another corner that will be soon installed with the S.Steel plate.  Installing S.Steel plate at corners is Not  recommended for Swiftelt farming that has less than 500 nests.

今天早上一個人打電話給我询问關於我的燕子聲音的收藏。 他特別對GS系列和全新的B-52 外聲是非常有興趣的。

他立刻就想要得到它。 他一定是那些很不耐煩的燕屋主之一。 我告訴他我只可以在几天后的时间才可以送到給他。 他對此不是感到很愉快。 我解釋了給他聼，我必須再混合給他，所以一定要至少一兩天的時間。

他坚持我一定要带我的GS系列和B-52來見他讓他試驗，因爲他怕他也許有同一個聲音。

我的回復是，因為多数在市場上的聲音都是從朋友複製或從一個人到另一個(被複製的)對我來說對買家是不公平的，因爲他花了幾百零吉特別的聲音卻換來整個鎮子都在使用。 (Pasar malam的物品)

我解釋了所以大多數都是願意讓您有一小段來試驗。

他很不高興，因為我帮他發現他是多么的愚蠢買了這麽許多的聲音就是通过從一個人複製到另一個的。

有时后，要做一個誠實和懇切的人是很艱苦的…. 那些人就是討厭您這樣做。

他很大聲的說， 「沒得試驗我就不買」。

他一定是一個很不高興的人，因為他得不到他想要的東西。

在燕屋農場，如果您習慣了對， 「沒有得到您想要的東西」那就有很大的機會您將會成爲一位成功的燕屋主。 從這裡您將努力的做到更好，為問題發現解答，做研究來發現結果和答復等等，這將帮助您學會和瞭解更多。 您將在很短的時間内成為一位更好的燕屋主。 何況在生活中之不是您想要什麼就得到什麽的。 那也是令生活更有挑戰性。

要親切，懇切和誠實，燕子將很愛您的。 有這样性個的人在燕屋農場將永远可以做得很好。

Impatient Swiftlet farmer

This morning someone called me and asked about my Swiftlet sound collection. He is very keen particularly on the GS series and the all new B-52 External sound.

He wants to have it immediately. He must be one of those every impatient Swiftlet farmers. I told him I could only send it to him in a few days time. He wasn’t happy about it. I explained that I have to mix it for him that is why it takes at least a day or two.

He insisted that I meet up with him and bring along the GS series and B-52 for him to test it out as he afraid that he may have the same sound.

I explained to him that I don’t do that and I can assure him 100% that he doesn’t have the sounds because I mixed the sounds myself. All sounds I sent out in some sections of it are different to prevent duplication and to safeguard the value the sounds.

He was very upset and said “All this while all the sounds I bought I can test them why can’t you do the same?”

I replied because most sounds in the market are copied from friends or one person to another (duplicated) which I think it is Not Fair to the buyers who pay few hundred ringgit just to have a sound that the whole town is using. ( Pasar malam goods)

I explained that is why most of them are willing to let you have a short clip to test. 

He wasn’t happy because I have helped him to discover how silly he was to have bought so many sounds that were copied thru one person to another.

Sometimes it hard to be honest and sincere…. people just hate you for doing that.

He raised his voice, “ I don’t buy something that I can’t test”.  

He must be one very unhappy person because he can’t get what he wants.

In Swiftlet farming if you are immune to, “not getting what you want” there is a big chance that you will be a successful Swiftlet farmer. From here you would strive to do better, find solution to problem, doing researches to find the results and answers and so on this would help you to learn and understand more. You would definitely become a better Swiftlet farmer in not time. After all in life you don’t always get what you wanted. That’s makes life challenging.

Be Kind, Sincere and Honest the Birds will Love you for that. People with such characters will always do well in Swiftlet farming.
