( I have written about this area 2 years ago. Two years later lots of things changed)It is everyone’s dream to have a good rental returns from both the shop lot ground floor and the upper floors.
Somehow in most cases if the ground floor could fetch high rental then the upper floors are not suitable for swiflets farming. This is because most high rental areas are urbanized and located in towns with high human traffic. There are in big cities surrounded with high rise building and industrial activities.
Smaller towns like K.Bharu, K.T, Setiawan, K.tinggi and so on are good for swiftlet farming but the ground floor rental cannot come close to those in the Klang Valley.
So it is hard to have both. But what if you have both? Ground floor of your shop lot is making money either from rental or businesses or at the same time the upper floors which converted into Swiftlet farm is doing well too.
This is what happened to one of the Swiftlet farm in Klang Valley. If my memory serves me right it had been operated for about 5 years now. Initially this is was a slump area with no business activities therefore the owner turns it into a swiftlet farm. As he patiently waits business around here flourished and all the ground floors here are fully occupied.
So in Swiftlet farming “Patient is Golden”.

There are many until today still call and email me asking such question like “James my farm just operated 2 weeks ago how come still no nests”? This is not funny this is true. If it is not true then the fail rate won’t stood at 80%.
