Swiftlets farm Designing Tips

( Always use clay bricks. Better insulation)

( Double layer wall that facing sun)

( The middle section door I called it "birds dead path" has to be sealed but many still use it)

( Staircase is for human access not Swiftlets. If your farm inter hole is using staircase it would be problem. It takes long time for Swiftlets to fly to the lower floor)

( Creating a better flying path. All measurements have been pre-calculated and marked.)

( Entrance hole position (and size) has to be precisely located. It is the gateway to successful farm)

( None of the Swiftlets farms I built is using Staircase as inter hole. All inter holes are hacked thru floor for better access)

Here is one of the many Swiftlet farms (shop lot type) that I am building. Hope it would help those who wanted to build one. Look at the above pictures you would understand that the design is very important.

The design itself is interrelated to the micro. A good design would help to improve the micro condition. Any flaw with the design would jeopardize the whole environment.

I always believe in getting a good design first that is priority not build a farm first. Many people tend to concentrate on build the farm first and the micro second later using all electronic gadgets in the market to create a better micro. They didn’t know that electronic gadgets could only help to a certain extend.

Remember Design always comes first. “Multi-million dollar building always started off from the scratch on a piece of paper.”

Good Swiftlets farming All!
