Good Result After Revamp.

Reposition of entrance hole ( revamped)

reduced the size of 2nd entrance hole

Same exterior both 2x5" tweeters. The one on the left produced excellent sound quality due to bigger brass plate. Don't be fooled by the exterior. Externally both look the same.

Using the 2x5" good quality tweeters
(bigger brass plate) birds love it.

Re-set and tuned all Amps. The green sticker markings were placed by the former consultant. All wrongly set and tuned. No wonder no birds.

Vent-hole closed. Too few not good. Too many affect the micro...so.....

It was a public holiday yesterday but I still have to work. Am I lucky or unlucky to drive 200km to visit farms? Some of you might think it is cool and fun but I think otherwise……

Well that it what I call commitment and the Love for Swiftlet farming. If without this I would have given up long time ago. That is why many blogs had stop writing after just few articles.

A Swiftlet farm that has been operated for 7-8 months without a single pair of bird staying surely makes the owner worry. There are no birds dropping afterwards. The Swiftlet just don’t come and play. Hardly see any swiftlets playing at the entrance hole and the roving complained the owner Mr.Y. He had done almost everything but it remains the same.

This was the farm I had written 1 month ago. The whole internal system was totally out except the temperature. It was built by a local consultant who had built few swiftlet farms in that area and this is how he was engaged to build this farm. The owner was very upset and wanted to do something about it. So I was asked to revamp it. Since then 1 month has passed and I went and check out the result.

It was astonishing, 7-8 months without birds dropping and now in just one month time there were twenty over spots of birds dropping. Best of all it scattered all over 3 floors even the ground floor and the deeper part of the farm. Some of the dropping is quite full and wet. It shows that they are new and the birds stayed and definitely not those that came and stayed and left.

Mr.Y was totally surprised. He claimed that “before this bird don’t even cross the roving section as he viewed from his cctv and now they are staying inside the deeper parts of the farm.”

“James how did you do it asked Mr.Y”

I explained to him in details how the renovation changed the whole environment of the farm and making those Swiftlet that came in feeling much safer and comfortable.

The things that I had done:

1) Changed the size and the position of the entrance hole.

2) Adding partitions at necessary areas

3) Change all tweeters to good quality ones and reposition them.

4) Closed up unnecessary vent-hole

5) Re-position all second inter-holes.

6) Changed internal sound to Hypnotic sound

7) Changed external sound to Gezillion Star 7 & 9

8) Sprayed Love Potion on every floor and entrance hole.

9) Re-tuning the amp and resetting the timer ……..

10…….

11…….

12…many more..

Initially all were wrongly done. Even the volume, treble, bass, etc of the Amps were wrongly tuned. It has to be synchronized but they didn’t do that so how it expects the birds come and stay.

It is important to know how to set the Bass and Treble of the internal sound. If it is not done correctly the birds would not stay.

Mr. Y explained he never knew about all these until I explained to him. He said the consultants practically know very little about this. Every time he asks him he would said it is not necessary. It was always not necessary and always…..not necessary.

I am happy for Mr.Y and looking forward to see more improvement.

After that we went for lunch and later I headed down south to visit another Swiftlet farm under construction.

Good Swiftlet farming all. Best is to share.
