Tweeters for Internal of Swiftlet Farm

The surround sound makes the farm lively and imitates farms that have many birds. New and young Swiftlets that come in would feel comfortable. Above the surround tweeters are sprayed with Love Potion to speed up the process of nests making.

2x5" NestAmp brand tweeter. Big brass plate. Sound Quality better than most well know brand.

Use for surround sound and internal use.

People often call ask which is better the Ax- 60 or Ax 61 or Ax65 or…and so on. Well my personal experiences are I would prefer one that produces the least hiss and hum sound. I guess if we listen carefully comparing various tweeters to a point we would be able to notice which tweeters produces good sound quality and which doesn’t.

Don’t look at the size and the shape of the tweeters. Don’t be fooled by it appearances. Size and shape don’t count or its country of origin. Some swear by the country of origin it must be made in where and where. That is their criterion of selection and the sound quality seems secondary. I guess not the sound quality seems secondary it is because they lack the understanding of how to distinguish between good and poor quality of tweeters.

Have you noticed no matter how big the mouth of the tweeters the back part which contains the brass plate and the paper wafer which is most vital in sound quality is of the same size?

Though the mouth shape plays a part in sound direction but when it comes to a cubical of 20x70ft which hold 80-100 pcs tweeters it plays no significant effect. This is because we have placed them on all strategic areas which defeated the purpose of the shape of the tweeter mouth.

The most important is the size and the material of the brass plate (high grade brass) and the con shape wafer inside the tweeters. A high grade material used would give the tweeter better loudness, clearer sound, less hiss and hum, etc.

One of the very easy experiment you could do it yourself is to have them tested. Get few tweeters from various model and brand. Tests one by one with the same swiftlet sound. You would be able to differentiate them. Those that produced lots of hisses and hums are poor quality ones.

Somehow Ax61 produces plenty of hisses and hums and if the recorded swiftlet sound is not distortion reduced when remixing. Then there would be lots of other back ground sounds other than swiftlet chirping. Sad to say so 95% swiftlet sound in the market is not distortion reduced.

I personally don’t favor Ax61 due its high hisses. I would prefer Ax60. That is my personal preferences. Well you could disagree with me if you want. But go and compare them you will know the answer. Having saying that anyway it is your farm not mine. You could do or use whatever you like in your farm.

Some of the tweeters in the market actually attract the buyers more than Swiftlets. Some tweeters produce louder sound, the importance is the sound quality not its loudness. Definitely distorted sound should not be used in farm. Often you would hear and read that too loud of a sound actually doesn't attract birds. It is not the loudness it is the distortion that scares the birds. Don't be confused by this two.

For internal I would use the 2x5” Nest Amp tweeter for surround sound and on corners. It is very affective. The sound quality is good and the price is reasonable. It cost Rm 2.80 each and it is cheaper than most well know brand.

So the conclusion is size , type, country of origin and so on does not matter what is most important is the sound quality that comes out from the tweeters.

Good Swiftlet Farming All!. The Best is To Share.
