The advantages of having a Camouflaged Swiftlets farm

Nicely done BH

Well camouflaged

There are at least 4 farms here. Can you see it?

A Swiftlet farm that is camouflaged and can’t be seen by the public has its advantages. Why do we want everyone to know that we are into Swiftlet farming? Does that benefit us?

I guess not. If everyone knows that you are having a good farm which harvests tens of kg every month then in no time there would be many new Swiftlet farms building next or close to yours.

A good Swiftlet farm always attracts attention. It invites competition, it creates envy and so on. People will complain about the sound even you had already switched off the sound many months or years ago. They would still complain about the hygiene and the disease even the veterinary department have so far found nothing that related to Swiftlet.

Furthermore the authorities from various departments would issue summons based on their own perceptions that has nothing to do with swiftlet farming.

All of these boiled down to, because they knew you are having a good time enjoying your tens of kg per month harvesting.

Worst of all, thief will be the next thing. So do you want to publicize your farm or go around the town telling everyone how many nests you have in your farm? If yes that is a stupid thing to do.

Welcome to Swiftlet farming!

So building a swiftlet farm specially those of Shop Lot units if not done properly would attract lots of attentions. Unplastered bricks exposed, Ventilation holes are not covered properly, Huge Dog Kennel with bright color Zinc. It seems these BHs want as much attention as possible. Are they trying to publicize to Swiftlet or to those who are envy and ready to make complains.

A good Swiftlet farm should avoid unnecessary attention. If you’ve got a good farm make sure the sound is not too loud. Plaster all brick walls that can be seen by public. Paint the walls if necessary. Be a responsible citizen and an ethical swiftlets farmer.

Smart Swiftlet farmers always avoid publicity and trouble. After all we are here to build home for swiftlet and in returns for their nests. We are not here for fame.

Good Swiftlet Farming All!
