Not all Areas Recorded Same Temperature

This morning I met up with reader which I had met 2 years ago in the North. I have not heard from him ever since then.

Few days ago he called with a surprise that he wants some Love Potion urgently. I told him that I was busy and I shall send Love potion to him by courier as all my products are sold online. He insisted that he wants to see me. It must be all about his Swiflet farm.

2 years ago I was invited to visit his building a newly built semi-D. He had bought it from a developer that had promoted heavy that this development is specially and professional made for Swiftlet farming. Because of this he was so happy and considered himself lucky to have bought one unit there.

In fact when I first visited that place I’ve told him that 100% of those who had bought the building there are not local. I hope he knows what I mean. The local won’t buy at all they knew the area too well.

Who wants to pay something equivalent to a price of properties of big cities but located in a small town. The price doesn’t justify it at all. Furthermore the ground floor can’t be rental out to generate income, which is guarantee for sure.

If I could remember, there is nothing special about this development. It consisted of many units of link shop lots and Semi-Ds.

It is of normal shop lots & Semi-Ds that you see when you drive around any other town. The only differences were all the internal walls are not painted, less electric plug, etc. The developer had saved cost on this in the name of swiftlet farming. The price is not cheap I could get a similar one in the big cities for the same price which has good rental returns.

After inspected the building I told the owner there are many things needed to be done if he wants his soon to be Bh to stand out. There are more than 50 units there, all are bought for 1 purpose “ Bh”. What makes you think that the Swiftlet would choose to stay in your Bh among all? That is what I told him.

I warned him that the walls have to be insulated because the developer had used sand brick and thin layered of cement to save cost. The walls’ temperature were about 34-40c on a hot day at 4pm when the sun hits directly.

After surveyed the building I advised him what he should do and what needed to be done. There were many things that are important and asked him to take note. I told him if I were to renovate the building I would take consideration of all these shortcomings and never allowed them to affect the micro later.

And that was 2 years or more ago.

This morning I met up with him and the reply was “not a single spot of birds shit” “no birds come and play”…..and so on.

He complained that he has no idea why his Bh is not attracting birds and asked my opinion. I told him you should ask the one who had renovated your Bh instead of me.

Out of sincerity I ask him are all the walls insulated with double bricks? No he replied, I thought no need because lots of Bh also got no wall insulation.

I replied in your case, the walls are too hot.

That was the problem with failed farm owners “everything no need, so no need birds & nests loh as well”.

He claimed that his Bh has very good micro, the Temp was 28c. Why with such good micro his bh has got not even 1 spot of birds shit? Not even those that left by birds. He has misunderstood the temperature concepts & its factors. Obviously there are many other factors that had affected his Bh but since he can’t even deal with the temp how could he be sharp enough to discover other factor and deal with them.

I asked him 28c for all areas or at certain area? He can’t answer me…..

I explained that 28 or 30C in his farm is at certain parts or areas in the Bh majority areas could never be 28c. In these case the walls heat is one of the factors and there are many more. I had also advised him not to use the stair area as interhole I wonder did he follow.

Anyway after passed some Love Potions to him and after a short chit-chatting I left as I have a meeting with another reader who wants to start a so called Eco park……..He wants my expertise in Bh design. I hope those who want to build an Eco park get this message.

“If you want to build an Eco park make sure it has all the good Bh criterias. No just a normal building with good marketing and advertising tools to attract all these Newbies and dudes!”

Good Swiftlet farming All!
