Some Sounds Attract Uninvited Guests.

If your Bh has uninvited guests you might have done something wrong somewhere. A good friend of mine told me that he had experienced something strange after he changed his external sound.

There are uninvited guest living in the roving area which never happened before all this while. He tried to chase them away and after a while they came back.

He cracked his head to find out what was wrong and why the uninvited guests had taken his Bh as home. He managed to get rid of them until he changed the External sound. It was a head cracking job trying to find solution to this problem. All the prevention methods don’t seem to work until he changed the external sound.

Well it is not easy to find the solutions if you don’t know the root cause of it. This is not the first time I heard this. Well some might call it myth or may not believe such thing would happen.

As you know I always believe in factual. Let’s examine.

Sound is frequency, Sound is a mechanical wave that is an oscillation of pressure transmitted through a solid, liquid, or gas, composed of frequencies within the range of hearing and of a level sufficiently strong to be heard, or the sensation stimulated in organs of hearing by such vibrations.[1

The perception of sound in any organism is limited to a certain range of frequencies. For humans, hearing is normally limited to frequencies between about 20 Hz and 20,000 Hz (20 kHz)[3], although these limits are not definite. The upper limit generally decreases with age. Other species have a different range of hearing. For example, dogs can perceive vibrations higher than 20 kHz, but are deaf to anything below 40 Hz.

As a signal perceived by one of the major senses, sound is used by many species for detecting danger, navigation, predation, and communication. Earth's atmosphere, water, and virtually any physical phenomenon, such as fire, rain, wind, surf, or earthquake, produces (and is characterized by) its unique sounds. Many species, such as frogs, birds, marine and terrestrial mammals, have also developed special organs to produce sound. In some species, these produce song and speech. Furthermore, humans have developed culture and technology (such as music, telephone and radio) that allows them to generate, record, transmit, and broadcast sound.

Well animal hearing and communication is relied to the frequency it produces and the frequency it could receive. By understanding the level of frequency of Swiftlets in particular type A.Fuphagus, A.Germain,etc. We could record, remix and edit their chirpings sounds effectively and could attract they in large number to come and play and stay.

Frequency could be set during remix and editing, if the adjustment is wrong or beyond swiftlets hearing capability then the chirping won’t attract any swiftlet because it can’t communicate and swiftlets don’t understand the sound that play from the tweeters.

If the setting is wrong and set to levels that are of other mammals hearing capability then the Bh that play this sound may attract uninvited guests.

Anybody could do recording, remixing, editing and so on but the effectiveness of the sound is very much relied on the understanding of the Swiftlets chirping and the ability to interpret the sound of birds’ communication.

There are many Swiftlet sound available in the market. Some are cheap and some are expensive, don’t simply buy and use it in your Bh. If you are unlucky and happened to get those that are wrongly tuned or remixed then you are in big trouble.

Do not simply use the sound if you are not sure where it came from. I have come across many sounds that claimed to be good that came from so...and so... Sifus and all are wrongly tuned and set.

I wonder how many of those who sell Swiftlets sound actually understand the essence of sound and how there are made?

People are jumping into the bandwagon to grasp the opportunity of making money. Who cares it works or otherwise. That is why there are so many sounds available in the market now, poor quality or good quality doesn’t matters as long they could make money. The sellers just don’t care. Or should I say they don’t even know what frequency is.

So as I had said it is all relied on you!

Good Swiftlet farming all!
