Is Color Important to Swiftlet Farm?

(Guess which swiftlet farm is doing better? One of them has 300+ nests in 13 months)

(Dead Swiftlet farm, 6 years less than 5 nests. The location of this Bh is 100 times better than the above Bh)

Is it a Myth or Feng Shui? Do you believe that the color of your Swiftlet farm door makes a different? You may not believe in this but many do. I have come across many Swiftlet farm owners do believe in this. If not why some purposely painted their Swiftlet farms certain colors.

In fact for those who owned many swiftlet farms they have a favorite or an identical color for all their Swiftlet farms. The common favorite colors are orange, green, grey and brown. I often observed this when I travel throughout the country to visit swiftlet fams.

Thru my observation it seemed Swiftlet farms with such colors do have some advantages. For those who can’t explain this phenomena would call it luck.

Well luck does plays a part in it, a small part, but we have to get all the necessary basic things in our Swiftlet farms right first before we rely on luck.

If the internal and the external environment is out and is not done properly then relied on luck would not help at all.

Chinese tradition has a strong belief about the entrance of a business especially the front door. This is the gateway to prosperity and fortune. Whatever it is the entrance must be able to attract luck. If it doesn’t then that is the end of the business. That makes sense to me if you look at the similarity between the entrance hole and the door access to your Swiftlet farm both represent incoming “ income “. If there is no income then the business will go busted. Isn’t Swiftlet farming is a business to us that generates income like any other businesses?

Same goes here if the Entrance hole is not attractive (wrong sizes, wrong position, painted with bad colors, etc) then Swiftlets would never want to fly in. So in a way it does make sense and all we want is that the entrance hole attracts lots of siwftlets and the access front door attracts lots of fortune.

Secondly if you’re a strong believer of Feng Shui then it would makes painting the front door even more important.

Swiftlet farming is “Agriculture “which in Chinese Feng Shui it related to LAND, SOIL & WATER. Without these 3 elements it would not grow. No farming land could cultivate anything without these 3 elements.

The color of Land and Soil in Feng Shui are green, grey, orange and brown. These supports grow. So now you know why there are so many huge swiftlet farms owned by those big “Tauke” are painted with certain colors. Hey” this is not coincidence OK. It is all done on purpose.

Now you know why, so don’t ignore colors and take them lightly. Never simply play with Black paint in your Swiftlet farm. In Feng shui black color is very powerful. It is Ying. It could help your Swiftlet farm at the same time it could post danger too. You definitely can’t simply paint black color in your Swiftlet farm unless you know where to paint them otherwise it will kill your Swiftlet farms. Never simply paint your roving or nesting area black. Know what you are doing or you will regret like the Swiftlets farm above 6 years of operation with only 5 nests in a super prime area.

( Note* I had advised the owner of the 6 years old farm to remove the black paint.)
