( using Rm 1.10 LX tweeters)Did you know that not all Low priced tweeters are the same. Don't be tricked by the price ranged from Rm 0.90-1.40.There are all not the same in term of build, sound quality and durability( lasting)
The LX type Rm1.10 each, 2x5" weight 57 gram. It is heavier and much solid built.
This exterior exactly the same as the above LX and consider quite famous sough after by many cost about Rm 1.20-1.40 depends where you buy it. The weight is 46 gram. That is 11 gram lighter.So the good material must have gone somewhere to save cost and the sound quality and durability sacrificed.
The differences can be clearly seen inside both tweeters.The LX is better with the round cushion to prevent the combustion sound from escaping thus creating much solid sound. Where as the normal one or any brands don't have this cushion ( another way of cost saving and scarifying quality)
Not all the time cheap stuff is NOT good. Sometime you would be surprised that lower priced items are better quality that expensive items if you know where to source them.
Here are the comparison of the Low priced common Tweeters. How do you distinguish them? Simple, you don't have to be a qualified electronic engineer or a technician to find out the criteria of a good tweeter. Use our six sense, don't we all have that?
I still remember many years ago while looking for Hi-Fi amplifier for our electric guitars my friend who is an audio enthusiast once said " the heavier the Amp the better quality it is". That was true. Those days, those like Mbl,Harmon,Yamaha,etc to name few are much heavy in build than those low quality type of amp that cost quarter of its price.
It does make sense, heavier amps use thicker copper material, better build,etc. Until today I still keep his advise and it helps. ( *for selection of Amp there are other criteria*)

The LX priced at Rm 1.10 each it is much cheaper but also produce good sound quality. Now you have known the differences and have a choice which would you choose?
You can't justify a tweeter quality by its exterior looks. They all looked the same. Open it up you would see clear the differences. Then test the sound.
