Where is the Right Place to Install Hexigonal Tweeters

This is the least written subject on the Net perhaps none at all. Which many didn’t even thought about it. The Right Placement of Hexagonal Tweeters. Let us discuss and expose the reason with clear pictures why the position of the Hex is so essential.

Everybody is installing Hexagonal Tweeters to attract more Swiftlets and now it seems almost all Swiftlet farms have it.

Does it really help having the Hexagonal Tweeters? It depends, if the Hex (Hexagonal Tweeters) is installed in the wrong position it doesn’t help much. It would lose its effectiveness. There might be many birds come and play but making them to enter the entrance hole would be difficult. Therefore there are common to hear many complained that even with many birds come and play at the Hex everyday but none enter the entrance hole.

This is due to the difficult flying position Swiftlets have to take before they could fly in to the entrance hole smoothly. If the position of the Hex is out of the smooth flying zone it would need extra effort for the Birds to maneuver. If this happened and your neighbor’s Bh next to you offers better flying position then more birds would fly into your neighbor’s Bh entrance.

In other words those who installed the Hex at the wrong area would help to call birds for other Swiftlet farms.

This happens especially at places that have lots of BH. I have a reader who told me that his neighbor’s Hex tweeters are doing all the hard work of calling birds and his Swiftlet farm is doing all the welcoming. This has to do with his neighbor’s Hex and the Bazooka caller that helped his farm.

He told me his neighbor started the Bh 2 years before him. When his neighbor noticed that he is starting a Swiftlet farm his neighbor quickly installed few Bazooka callers and Hex.

Yet when my reader starts, it was simple, all he did was a good positioning of tweeters at the Entrance hole that all. Now 2 years later my reader bird’s population is many times higher than his neighbor.

So if you installed your Hex or Bazooka at the wrong position or places you are actually helping other Bhs.

The picture above clearly shows the flying position is being obstructed when the Hex is placed at the last wall. The poll of the Hex also obstructs birds when they fly in with speed into the Open roof area during dust and birds might bang on it.

Having a Hex and Bazooka caller helps but if installed at the wrong area it becomes disadvantage.

So now you know why after installed some Hex and Bazzoka callers birds still don’t enter your Bh.

Good Swiflet farming All!
