Be kind, good hearted, generous, honest and sincere the birds and nests eventually will come. I’ve always believed in this the moment I start Swiftlet farming many years ago.
Why Swiftlet farms built with huge investment, with state of art equipments, by well know consultants and located at good location fail. While some simply built ones doing fairly well.
I am sure many of you would want to know. As I have said before whatever the best we do it is still 80% the remains 20% rest on the great power above us. I strongly believe in this as I have witnessed it myself while travelling all over South East Asia visiting and building Swiftlet farms.
Time tells and you could see it yourself if you have patience and practice kindness to all things you do.
In Kedah there is a Swiftlet farm cost almost $2 million to build located at a Prime Birds Area but not at par with those built at 1/5 of its cost.
Another one cost almost $2 million to build with state of art Swiftlet farming equipments located in Pahang designed by a well know consultant from Indonesia barely passes the o.k. level after many many years. If time was to use to measure return of investment this Swiftlet farm has gone into red long time.
What has gone wrong? Isn’t it money is the ultimate solution to all Swiftlet farming problems? Well perhaps this applies in other field but definitely not in Swiftlet farming. We cannot control the birds, it is an open cage concept. Today the birds might be yours tomorrow they might be gone. The birds can come and go anytime and this is most challenging part. Birds don’t care who you are, how rich you are, how much you have invested in your Swiftlet farms. If you are not kind, good hearted, generous, honest and sincere then you may have to wait long time to see many nests.
The above pictures were taken in a Temple in Vietnam. It was sent by a good friend of mind Mr.Tran. The Swiftlets came by themselves building nests at the stairs. There were no tweeters and nesting planks. Naturally they came and decided to make the Temple their homes. Why did they choose the Temple? There are Swiftlet farms around here too. I am sure we all know why. Simple, this is the remains 20%. This is a place where kindness can be found. Instinctively birds could sense this.
Now Mr.Tran was asked to install the nesting planks by the Abbot of the Temple. He is doing it for goodwill. All the incomes from the nests are for the Orphanages. Isn’t this wonderful? Mr.Tran told me that he is using my GS external and Hypnotic internal sound and thousands of birds came and play. The result was fantastic and the nests have been increasing fast…extremely fast. I am extremely happy that my GS & Hypnotic sounds have played a part in achieving this.
(There are also Temples in Thailand which have nests built on the ceiling of the prayers hall)
So do you have all these in you? “Kindness, good hearted, generosity, honesty and sincerity”.
If not you better have it if you want to be a successful Swiftlet farmer.
I strongly believe in it. It is all up to you all.
Good Swiftlet Farming All!
