A reader wants my opinion on the internal tweeters arrangement as his Bh is almost ready. He wants to know whether what he had planned is correct or otherwise. Below are the picture he sent and the tweeter arrangement which he had learned from friends and many Sifus.......
( No..no ..no too many tweeters facing one direction and has neglected the importance of tweeters at corners)
( This is what he sent me, I wonder where he had learned it from.....????. practically blind leading the blind)
Different people have different opinion towards setting up tweeters arrangement in BH.
I stick to a simple principle which seeing is believing. Through my many years of experience, I have seen and witness it myself. I can’t deny it that birds like making nest at corners especially those corner above the internal tweeters.
I believe many do agree with me on this. But there are also those who have different views. They strongly believe in speculation without concrete evidence, they have different ways of setting up tweeters in BH based on this.
It is “my sifu says so, so I follow” or “who is doing what and I just follow”. That doesn’t work for swiftlet farming.
I have come across many failed BH having internal tweeters installed in the middle of the planks, or away from the corner.
As we know, the middle section is not the flying route of the birds when they circle and play inside the BH. Therefore, this clearly indicates that the tweeter install at corner is utmost important.
See it yourself and observe it, what is right and what is wrong. There is no magic in swiftlet farming once you have got all the basic right, you will definitely see improvement and I can personally guarantee you this.
There are lots of people saying this, there are lots of people advising that, encouraging you to do that and so on…but before you understand what ever rectification is to be done to your Bh you should weight and even it out and see whether it make sense or otherwise.
As for the internal tweeters installation, we all already knew that birds like corner that is why we have tweeters installed below the corner boards. You can see it from pictures simply google or from my blog.
( young birds love building nests at corner ( new first nests), especially corners with tweeters)
( most birds build nests at tweeters on corner boards. Well if you know this why still install tweeters on the middle of the planks? Isn't that silly )
( see all nests were first built at the corners)
If someone tells you that installing internal tweeters at the middle of the plank or away from corner is the best , this clearly shows that he has not grasp all the knowledge in Swiftlet farming.
Secondly, like I had always said, all tweeters cannot be installed facing one side or one direction. But there are still many continue to do so.
So there will always be 80% failure and 20% successful, when people continuing practicing against nature and the basic.
I discovered many swiftlet farmers had the tendency to go against the basic, perhaps, enjoying the opposite way, perhaps, they are too creative and have too many ideas.
Bear in mind, this is not cake-making (bakery) or advertising where you need to be creative. Yes, creativity is good, too much creativity will kill your farm.
Think about it and see those pictures.
