Who is Right? Who to follow? Who to listen?
While some say you should do the Bh like this and some who have experiences say otherwise. So who should you follow?
Immaterial who said what or how experience they are most important it is your own judgment. I often received emails and calls from readers asking for verification when they heard so and so said this and so and so said that. They want verification from me.
My reply was always simple. There is no “Magic” in Swiftlet farming. All are facts and factual that would lead you to see results if the Bh is done properly. If you don’t see results there must be something wrong somewhere.
If someone comes and says he could do some black magic that would make Birds stay. I think he has more power to make you stay in the Bh rather than the birds. Because after the black magic process you have to spend longer time in Bh to rectify not only the current problems but also the black magic problem that left behind. So in other words you have stayed longer but not the birds.
If one could weight and even the information received. Use their intelligent and common sense to understand the information they received thru books, web, blog, forum,etc they should be able to differentiate what and which information if worth paying attention to.
Do not follow blindly just because who said what and what who said, you make your own judgment with your intelligent. Use your common sense. In Swiftlet farming there are many things we relied on our common sense. Like I have said many times and repeated again and again. One doesn’t need to be a Rocket scientist or have a Phd in order to own a successful Bh. In fact 99% successful Bh owners are not from such group.
The questions often asked by readers were:
Should I use double layered brick but some said no need?
Should I go into swiftlet farming now or wait till later?
Should I get a license first or do it like my neighbors who have been doing for more than 7 yrs without one.?
Should I use open roof or dog kennel or listen to my friends?
Should I put Humidifier or pond in Bh but my Sifu said both no need?
Should I follow who and who…..and…so on?
And the list could go on and on and never ends.
I think by now for those who have been reading and directly involved in swifttlet farming would have been able to answer the questions above.
If you still can’t answer the above questions that mean you really don’t understand swiftlets farming that well. This is just a fraction of hundreds things you need to check and understand if you want to build a good Bh.
Yes everybody needs guidance, advice, mentors or some called it Sifu. But I don’t believe in Sifu. There are too many Sifus around. A Bak Kut Teh seller can be a SF ( Swiftlet farming) sifu. A contractor that has completed few Bh renovations for others can be a SF sifu. Practically anybody could become the so called Sifu. Even some called my Indon workers Sifus.
Worst of all some Sifus don’t even own Swiftlet farms but start to undertake jobs of Bhs from others. Some owned failed farms themselves but wanted to build good Bhs for others.
By having some good understanding about SF you would definitely know who to listen and follow. So the judgment is solely yours.
In other words it could be said that the success of a SF is very much relied to the decision of choosing the right person to undertake the job to build the Bh.
