The Danger Zone in Prime Birds Zone.

While having a good dinner with friends of mine who are also very well respected seniors in Swiftlet Farming in Malaysia and Thailand. We discussed about a so called Red Zone Area . Many may not know about this. I would like to share here with you all especially for those who intended to buy shop lots or land to start farming.

The Red Area Zone could be anywhere in Malaysia. It could be in a Prime Birds Zone or non Prime Birds Zone. There are certain areas that birds swear by it. They just hate to fly to or thru this area. Some of the areas could be located in hot spot areas like Kuala Kurau, Setiawan,Kuala Krian, etc.

So having selected or purchased a property in such areas don't promise anything. The Red Zone area could be just 1km away from many farms or pioneer farms that had been harvesting many kgs per month.

This has been well observed thru our experiences. It is not uncommon to hear farmers complaining that their farms after 3 years only managed to have 10 nests while those just 1km away managed to have 1000 nests in 3 years. ( given all other things are (design, micros, etc) of the same for both)

Thru our observation in Prime Birds Zone. Swiftlets tend to congregate in certain areas only and this phenomena tends to repeat over the season. If you are observant enough you would noticed that in a Prime Birds Zone, birds tend to fly or congregate at certain areas like for example the south or south east of the Town. This has got nothing to do with the existing successful farms at the south or south east areas . Believe me there are reasons for this which I can not reveal.

Try build a farm on the west or north side then you will have to wait and wait. Why do we want to take such risk? Nobody wants to take risk if possible. I think most didn't know about it.

Sometimes it is good not to know about it. Ignorance equal to No fear.

Am I creating fear now? Ha..ha..ha.... the more you know the more you fear.

Practically most would say that all Prime Zone Area are good for farming. Do you know that the highest number of unsuccessful farms are also located in the Prime Zone Area?

Think about it.

Good Luck!
