Here are the classic pictures of Swiftlets building nests on flat Plywood with wiring attached horizontal across them.
I have had seen these pictures many years ago and had kept them in my PC. Today while transferring some pictures to my external hard disk I stumbled upon these beautiful pictures among thousand that I had kept. I think it would be good to post it onto my Blog.
I am sure many have seen them before but it would be good for those who are new in Swiftlets farming and those who have not seen them before.
Swiftlets can’t perch they hang onto walls, planks, etc as long there are something that their claws could grip they will hang on it. That is why it is uncommon to see nests built on wiring, rough walls, exposed nails and screw, etc.
By looking at these pictures you would understand how important the height of the farm and the lines on the nesting plank are. Some claimed Planks that have no line or groove are better. But these pictures tell otherwise.
I don’t believe in myth but I don’t know you. Pictures prove everything.
Good farming All!
