This what my reader asks. Sometimes honesty is not what many want to hear.
I think is it good to boost up the Swiftlet farming industry for now as the EBN price has dropped tremendously due to the alleged Nitrate contains. One of the ways is to build more Bhs ( whatever Bhs if you like) so that more works are available and construction materials usage will increase thus this would help the industry as whole and generated incomes for those who are stuck in idle since the EBN price dropped.
Often our objective and aim are strayed if we didn’t stay focus on what we do. This happens in Swiftlet farming. 80% or should I say 90% Swiftlet farm failed because most didn’t focus on the objective rather than just wanting to build a Swiftlet farm or Bh we often call it (Birds House).
Let me ask you….Are your aims here is to build Bh only? Are you here just to breed or rearing Swiftlets? Are you here for building the Bh to satisfy our urge to own a Bh and not more than that .
If your answer is yes, you will be soon joining the group of 80% once your dream Bh is completed.
Most have forgotten the main purpose which is the EBN, Bird Nests. We’re here for the nests which have high commercial value. Definitely not the Swiftlets, not the building, not how little money you have spent or how expensive the building is.
So what if you managed to spend only Rm 30k to build a 2 storey Zinc or Metal Bh or Rm2 million with state of art technology in it but later after 3 years only managed to have 10 nests or perhaps none.
It is not about the building and its prices. To build a building anybody could do it, be it a wood building or a simple zinc type or even a 5 star concrete type with marbles. Be it cheap or expensive. So what? Some of these buildings may attract lots of birds to come and play initially but later they will be no nest in it as it is too artificial. Have you ever thought outside the box which we are here to build something that will make the birds stay and make nests?
So remember we are here for the nests and in order to do that we build a building that like by the birds. In return they stay and make nests and we have the nests which have high commercial values.
Don’t forget your purpose is not about how you can build a building with what and what. It is will the Bh you build with such materials, it sizes,etc will attract birds top stay and make nests.
Well logical thinking is important in swiftlet farming and I wonder how many actual applied it……
