The farm that I had revamped in A.S performed well. Only 1 week of operation after the revamp there is a quarter cup size nest, 3 new nests marking and 6 spots of new birds shit. We discovered this when we went back to the farm to add additional Motorola Quality tweeters on the ground floor. The owner was over whelming about it. He couldn't believe it.
.
.
Before the new sound was switched on the owner has a multi-meter in his hand and walking around the farm testing the Rh & Temp. He was very quiet and didn't say anything. I bet he was wondering how I did it. Then I jokingly told him that I am very “pantang" about people checking on my works as I had guaranteed him 10 nests in 6 months. We both laughed. I told him to go ahead and check it out and see what is not perfect and tell me about it.

He happily replied. "James" everything is perfect when you were doing the revamp I was pessimistic about how you going to achieve it. Before the revamp the Rh & Temp were so high above the average. The temp was 34C. Now you had tuned the farm to a perfect condition. I couldn't believe it until I see and feel it myself ' marvelous".
The changes were tremendous. The owner said, James" I don't feel hot inside here as compared to before the revamp why?

I explained to him in details. He is very happy about it.
This farm has been operated for 1 year plus. It only has 5 nests and all birds have abandoned this farm. Some of the nests are half built and those that are completed have holes on it. Thereafter for almost a year after the initial 5 nests there is no Swiftlets building nests in this farm. All have left this farm as the micro was too bad for them to stay. Ever since then there were no new bird’s shits either.
The farm was not proper managed. There are pests in this farm. All these were cleared by spraying fedona. The guy who was entrusted to built and manage this farm practically has done nothing other than just let it be and wait for the birds to come.
I am very confident that in 6 months time the number of nests will increase. It was a good sign to see the new nest in such a short period. The location was good but the initial farm’s design was bad.
I hope my readers would learn something from here. Making sure you get the right person to do it the first time. But then again the earlier person who entrusted to build and design this farm was a famous and well talked about person “Sifu” in A.Setar. He was a big time fellow here. So where is the solution?
Well I think you already have the answers.
Good Luck.
