My readers called me asking when I can send them Love Potion as they need it urgently. They are waiting for the Aroma and need it for after harvesting. That is what most of them did spraying Love potion after every harvest and thereafter the number of nests increases.
.
“James, I have been waiting for the Love potion since last week when can I receive it?
....
“Sorry Mr. Chua, I shall send it to you once the fermentation is completed that shall be in 3-4 days time”
.
“James, in this case I have to postpone my harvest till the Love Potion arrives.”
.
“Mr. Chua, I shall send them earlier in the morning in 3-4 days time. Sorry for keeping you waiting.”
.
“James, after spraying Love potion more birds came to play and I see many new patches of white birds shit. What does that mean…..?
.
“Mr.Chua, that is good sign. White shits are commonly from young birds. That means you are capturing many young birds into your farm and in no time they will build nests. That is why your birds’ population increases as well the nests”.
.
“Thank you James, thank you, thank you…..please sms me once you couriered them”.
.
This is what we wanted to capture young adult Swiftlets to our farms. The more they come and play in your farm the higher chances they will be the permanent resident there.
.
Every season there are thousand of young Swiftlets produced by all farms how many actually did our farms captured?
.
Some farms may not capture any at all while other may capture huge percentage. It is winners take it all losers have got none scenario. This is very common in Swiftlets farming.
.
The good and successful farms could have 3-5 fold increment while the number of nests for poor farms remains the same over a long period.
.
In most cases poor farms not only unable to capture young birds at the same time theirs young birds that had just learned to fly left and never come back.
.
There are many reasons for this. Poor farms are unable to up keep and maintain the micros.
.
The micro of the farms changed without being noticed by the farmers and at the same time there are farms in this area that have perfect micros which enticed all young birds to their farms.
.
These good farms have good Aroma, good temp and Rh control, playing the right sound, correct darkness, etc.
If your farms can’t maintain the micros you will be loosing out. Aware of the changes as aroma is part of the micros that needs to be constantly maintained especially for farms that are growing.
.
Moment of wind (ventilation) over a period of time pushes away smell (aroma) that is liked by Swiftlets. The smell escapes through the entrance hole, door gaps, vent holes, etc. It needs to be replenished unless your farms has few thousands nests then it will be a different case.
.
Each and every of the micros have to be maintained well if you don’t want to loose out.
.
Good Farming All!
