Before my reader discovered this, the growth of his Swiftlet farm stagnated. Initially, the first year the growth was good. Within 3-4 months of operation, it has about 40-50 nests.
Thereafter, it recorded a slow growth. He had tried almost everything to trap the predator but to no avail. He has suspected Rats, Owls, and lizards but after doing the pest control, the stagnation remains.
I told him, sometimes the stagnation of growth it is not necessary caused by rats, Owls, and lizards. It could be other things. Sometimes the presence of a big snake or a big Biawak ( like the above picture) would have the same effect. Their presence would deter the Swiftlet from staying and building nests.
This proved to be correct. After the dead of the Python and Biawak his Swiftlet farm registered a double-digit healthy growth.
Anything could happen in a Swiftlet farm. You will never know until you see it yourself.
